Admitted in 1990, Anita has over 30 years’ experience in private practice and began her career in banking and finance in a large firm in Brisbane. Moving to Tweed Heads, Anita sought greater career satisfaction making a real difference in the lives of her clients and expanded to work in personal injury and general litigation including duty lawyer work at the Local Court.

In 1997 Anita and her husband John Hall moved with their young daughter Catherine to the Hawkesbury at the invitation of good friend and local real estate agent the late Stuart Pascoe to set up a general practice specialising in conveyancing excellence at Richmond NSW. Anita established a complimentary practice in Family Law, Injury and Estate Litigation and has been honoured to serve the Hawkesbury ever since.

Anita has over 20 years’ experience in estate litigation representing both claimants and executors in proceedings in the Supreme Court to challenge wills.

All aspects of estate planning are covered when Anita takes instructions for wills. Details of assets, liabilities, and superannuation are obtained to ensure all estate planning needs are met. Wills are crafted to reduce the likelihood of expensive and stressful estate litigation. Superannuation nominations are made to ensure they are binding on Super Trustees and work effectively with the provisions of the will. Anita’s estate planning clients have Powers of Attorney and Guardianship Appointments drafted to include special provisions tailored to each client’s needs.

With her diverse legal background, Anita brings a unique skill set to understanding client’s needs in family law matters, in particular a sound comprehension of their commercial and business interests and estate planning requirements during and after their family law settlements. Anita believes that a primary goal in managing any family law matter is to preserve amicable relationships between the parties for the benefit of their children. Also, to provide accurate advice as to the realistic outcomes clients may expect on the basis of over 20 years’ experience in the jurisdiction so that the matter is resolved as expeditiously as possible and without recourse to litigation. This approach ensures all our clients’ expectations are affirmed if and when their matter comes before a Court.

Anita supervises the firm’s retail and commercial leasing practice with its loyal client base of Hawkesbury and Nepean lessors and lessees, drafting bespoke leases for clients requiring particular provisions or pro-forma leases for their portfolio of properties.

Anita and her team continue the proud tradition of experienced and ethical legal advice she and her husband John Hall established in the Hawkesbury in 1997.

Classically trained, Anita performs as a member of and soloist with the Penrith City Choir in addition to being the lead vocalist in her Jazz Ensemble “Lee and Me” which has performed in the Hawkesbury and in Sydney venues for over 20 years. Anita will not, however, be in a position to give up her day job anytime soon.

Anita is the Public Officer of the Penrith Symphony Orchestra which John Hall Lawyers proudly sponsors and supports.

And Catherine, being an inaugural recipient of the Tuckwell Scholarship for the study of Medicine at the Australian National University, is now a qualified doctor pursuing surgical training at Canberra Base Hospital. Another Hawkesbury success story.
