Emily Hoinville
Born and bred in the Hawkesbury, Emily holds a double degree in Law and Communications from the University of Western Sydney. Emily completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the College of Law in 2020 and she was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW as a Solicitor in May 2020. She is also admitted to the High Court of Australia and practices in the Federal Courts.
Emily has been an integral member of the John Hall Lawyers team since 2016, assisting as a paralegal in conveyancing, wills and estates, estate litigation, civil litigation and commercial matters before concentrating on Family Law and general litigation post-admission.
In 2022 we were thrilled to have Emily join as a Partner and Co-Director of the firm. Throughout her years of practice Emily has considerably expanded her knowledge and expertise in the field of Family Law, and she manages our Family Law practice.
Emily is highly organised and detail oriented, and ensures her clients receive excellent representation. She is receptive to the individual needs of each of her clients and strives to achieve the best possible outcome. By commencing her legal work in conveyancing, civil and commercial matters, and wills and estates during her studies, Emily has a sound understanding of the practical and commercial requirements of her clients at all stages of their family law matters, especially clients involved in complex property settlement cases.
Emily is a mother herself, and she brings a compassionate and conciliatory attitude to her work in resolving parenting matters while representing the best interests of her clients and providing accurate advice as to the realistic outcomes clients may expect. Emily firmly believes that the primary objectives in managing family law matters is to preserve amicable relationships between co-parents for the benefit of their children, and to resolve cases as expeditiously as possible and without unnecessary recourse to litigation. This approach ensures all her clients’ expectations are affirmed if and when their matter comes before a Court.
